    Lovely

My sink is finally in and it looks great. I was worried that there might be damage or faults but it is in perfect new condition and is good quality.

    Excellent

The toilet is very good quality and looks great in my new bathroom, perfectly complementing the matching sink. I would have preferred a thicker thermoplastic toilet seat but the quality is acceptable. I particularly like the very neat cistern flush workings; much better than the old float ball.

Energy Close Coupled Toilet inc Soft Close Seat

    Excellent Value

Bought from Victoria Plumb on a whim after seeing their adverts, and I'm very impressed. The price for the quality of the stock is simply unbeatable, and the delivery was bang on time as promised by text message. This toilet was bought as a replacement for a downstairs toilet, so I wasn't too fussed when the seat turned out to be a little on the flimsy side (It's unlikely to get that much use) however, the pan, cistern, and flush mechanism all seem very well constructed and finished. Mounted easily (Well, according to the plumbers anyway) and finishes the freshly painted room nicely. Just make sure to check the measurements, as this didn't go quick back to the wall. This was purely my own fault as I'd not factored the angle of the waste pipe into my measurements! All in all a great value buy and will be using VP again.

Arc Back To Wall Toilet including Soft Closing Seat

    Excellent Product, Value For Money

We were looking to replace a toilet fitted couple of years ago with which we were unhappy, also an on-line purchase. The reviews were excellent on the arc so we ordered on a Monday, the unit was delivered on the Thursday and fitted on the Friday! The product and delivery was excellent and we are thrilled with our purchase. Excellent value for money plus prompt delivery. The only negative was that the special floor fitting screws were not provided but the plumber used our old ones. Highly recommend Victoria Plumb, they scored highly on all counts.

Copper - the metal of the moment

Posted on: 29th Apr 2015

This year, we’ve seen the demand for copper and brass in the home grow larger than ever before. Following on from the monochrome trends of 2014, homeowners are now increasingly adding metal features and accessories to various rooms throughout their house. There is a demand for brass in living rooms and bedrooms, but the bathroom is the place where we’ve seen most of the demand, with copper pipes used to complement ceramics, as well as vintage copper accessories being used to further enhance the quirky theme. Show off your pipes One of the best ways we’ve seen to incorporate brass into your bathroom is to expose your copper piping. We’ve seen a number of our Share Your Style contestants implement this style effectively and it makes for a really striking feature in your bathroom. Don’t get brassed off If exposing your pipework isn’t an option, you can incorporate hints of brass into your bathroom by adding little accessories and finishing touches. The best way to achieve this is to visit local charity shops and scrap yards to find interesting and striking pieces of copper that will really stand out against your white bathroom suite. Or why not fashion an old bit of pipework into a quirky toilet roll holder? How to incorporate copper into your bathroom style Once you choose to use copper in your bathroom, it’s important that you ensure it fits in with your overall bathroom theme. By setting brass piping against exposed brick walls, you can create an "off the wall" industrial look to your bathroom. Add some industrial style lighting to further enhance the style

Get the Natural Look - The latest Bathroom Trends with Sophie Robinson

Posted on: 23rd Apr 2015

I recently took a trip to the Ideal Home Show 2015 at Olympia, London to catch up on all the latest trends in bathroom design. VictoriaPlumb. com provided 5 bathroom sets for the show, but the one that really stood out was the Sand & Stone Bathroom designed by top interior stylist Sophie Robinson. Inspired by nature The overall design scheme for this bathroom was inspired by the Earth's natural palette and Sophie had selected our rustic-looking Verdi Wood-Effect Tiles to give the floor a warm look and feel. Our Zena Grey Porcelain Wall Tiles, with their natural stone sediment design, provided a natural feel to the wall. To complement the natural tones, Sophie created a mountainscape design on the main wall with 3 bands of soft, muted colours adding a point of interest. Our Aries Round LED Mirror provided the finishing touch, giving an extra sense of light and space. Plus, with a battery operated model available, there's no need for tricky, and potentially costly, mains installations. Clean & contemporary In contrast to these naturally-inspired materials, Sophie went for a clean, crisp and contemporary bathroom suite. Employing the very latest in luxurious design, the V6 Designer Walk In Shower was an inspired choice

Marching on with our latest Share your Style winners

Posted on: 17th Apr 2015

With lighter evenings and a touch of spring in the air, you've all been very busy sprucing up your homes for the year ahead. This has meant an absolute feast of amazing entries into our March Share your Style competition. We really were spoilt for choice this month, with some absolutely wonderful designs capturing our imaginations. We put four images forward to the public vote on our Facebook page and we're delighted to reveal that the winner was: Dave Reilly from North Yorkshire When we saw this amazing bathroom, with its beautiful timber-framed roof and gorgeous layout, our jaws dropped. It's not just the clean, white minimalist design we liked, but also the finishing touches, such as the stacked toilet rolls in a basket, what appears to be a repurposed stand for bathtime essentials, and some well-chosen greenery. The public agreed and voted this design as their clear favourite, making Dave the proud owner of a new iPad mini. Dave also runs the Yorebridge House Hotel at Wensleydale in the North Yorkshire Moors, where you'll find the bathrooms tastefully and beautifully furnished to fabulously high standards, including VictoriaPlumb. com products of course! Get the look Maine Wall Hung Toilet including Luxury Soft Close Seat Universal Wall Mounting Frame with Push Button Cistern V8+ Walk In Recess Shower Pack Harrison Freestanding Bath Tubular Heated Towel Rail Sorano Counter Top Basin How it looked during the makeover [hr] Runners Up Alan Beasley from Isle of Arran Alan's beautiful design shows just what can be done in a small space like a downstairs cloakroom. Colours and patterns have been kept to a minimum, using mosaic tiles to add some interesting borders and a feature wall, but Alan has injected some wonderful contrast into the decor by selecting items from our Odessa Wenge range of bathroom furniture. A really clever use of space and with great style too! Alan said: My original idea for the toilet was to use laminate boards to box in the cistern and support the sink but when costing this out compared to the units being offered, it was obvious what route to take

Colour Ideas for your Bathroom

Posted on: 15th Apr 2015

The colours we choose to use in our bathrooms have changed somewhat from generation to generation. After years of using fairly unadventurous and neutral colours such as white, beige and brown, many people are now searching for bathroom inspiration in a variety of bold colours. Bathroom colour scene Even though colourful bathrooms are growing in popularity, we certainly aren’t suggesting going back to the peach and avocado suites of the 1980s! Bold colours such as blues, greens and reds are some of the on-trend choices that are being seen in our customers’ bathrooms. And, if you really want to be up-to-the-minute with your trends, Pantone's official colour of 2015 is Marsala - an earthy red/brown hue. Judging by some of the stunning bathrooms we’ve seen, it's obvious how effective bold colours can be in highlighting your bathroom furniture. Tiles or paint? If you’re choosing to go with bold colours on your walls, you first need to decide if you’re using tiles, paint or both. Coloured tiles give a much more premium feel to your bathroom, but will require extra time, effort and money. Painting your walls can be cheaper and makes it much easier to update when you fancy a change, but doesn’t offer the waterproofed protection of a tiled wall. Don’t forget to accessorise A colourful bathroom idea won’t work if you don’t fully commit with the right accessories and finishing touches. Choosing towels, bath mats and decorations that match your colour theme will help you to accentuate your colour ideas and create a theme the flows throughout your bathroom
