    V6 Quadrant Shower Enclosure 900

    V6 Quadrant Shower Enclosure 900

    V6 Quadrant Shower Enclosure

This was purchased to replace a 20+ year old enclosure that was dated but keeping the original shower tray. The V6 is a great product and seems of excellent quality. It was delivered promptly and to the upstairs bathroom where I needed it. It looks lovely. The doors slide easily and the seal is most efficient. My experienced plumber installed it and found the ability to adjust it very useful.

Baths v Showers: Which side are you on?

Posted on: 21st Jul 2014

It’s the 21st century and we're busier than ever, juggling multiple commitments such as work and family that barely a second moment can be spared. I’m sure that we all have a long list of things we wished we could do if only we had the time – and that includes taking a bath. Taking a shower, however, is by far the more popular and widely used method for washing, taking up substantially less time versus taking a bath. Showers are therefore much more suited to our daily lives and require sufficiently less water, reducing both the financial and environmental impacts. Are you a Bath Fan? However, there’s a reason why most bathrooms still have a bath in them and that is because we love the luxury of them when we are actually able to take one. And rightly so! Baths can really help us unwind and slow down time, giving us space to think despite the demands of our hectic lives. To satisfy this desire, Victoria Plumb offers a fantastic range of elegant freestanding bathtubs that will help anyone inject much-needed luxury into their home. Furthermore, there are few things that can be improved to ensure your baths are as eco-friendly as possible. Acrylic baths help improve efficiency at retaining hot water, thus reducing your need to top up the bath with hot water, while thermostatic taps provide the highest level of control over water flow and temperature. Lavish Roll Top Baths Roll top baths have become a popular choice across a wide spectrum of styles ranging from a 30s Hollywood regency bathroom style to oriental style

5 Reasons why a Wetroom is a Great Bathroom Option

Posted on: 25th Jun 2014

When it comes to bathrooms, you may have heard the term "wetroom" used many times, but do you know exactly what a wetroom is? It's a style of bathroom that has increased in popularity in the UK in recent times. A wetroom is effectively a sealed bathroom - walls and floors are "tanked" (sealed with layers of matting) which stops water from seeping out. Normally the bathroom designer will also install a sloping floor leading down to a drain, so that excess water flows away. It is a wet environment and as such not a place for the things we think of as "dry" - certainly not shaving appliances or anything that could be dangerous. The most common installation to be found in a wetroom is a shower. In many cases, a glass screen can be used to separate the shower area from the rest of the bathroom - especially handy if you don't want a soggy toilet seat! So here are 5 reasons why wetrooms are a great bathroom option: 1. Accessibility Although not always designed with this in mind, wetrooms are particularly good for those whose movement is restricted, such as the elderly or disabled. There is no need for a shower tray, making access to the shower much easier. 2. Improves the Quality & Value of your Property In effect, you are adding waterproofing to one of the major areas of your home that is particularly susceptible to leaks and issues with water, so this can only be a good thing in terms of the overall structure of your property

Size, Shape and Style – What to consider when choosing a Shower Enclosure

Posted on: 18th Jun 2014

Choosing the right shower enclosure is very important to both the look and the functionality of your bathroom. You'll want to choose one that suits your style and taste but there are also practical considerations to take into account, such as the amount of space you have available. Size and Shape You might have an ideal size and shape in mind but the most suitable enclosure for your home will also depend largely on the type of room and the space you have available. If you are fitting the shower in an existing bathroom, creating an en suite or even a dedicated shower room, this may also have a bearing. Think carefully about the best place to site your shower. You don't want to feel cramped when you are inside but the enclosure should not make the rest of the room inaccessible either. As you're probably aware, shower enclosures come in many different shapes. They are often square or rectangular but curved enclosures or quadrant showers can also offer a solution that's both stylish and practical. Style and Type A quadrant shower enclosure will allow you to make good use of corner spaces, while curved 'D-shape' enclosures can bring softer lines and fit snugly against a single wall. The choice of doors is also important

5 most Common Causes of a poor Shower Experience

Posted on: 12th Apr 2014

Everyone likes the idea of having a shower installed in their bathroom. Whether it is a top of the range 'wet room' style experience or the simple addition of a rail-based system that utilises the bathtub or shower enclosure, the ease of use and time saving aspects of taking a shower are an important lifestyle choice. However, not all showers are equal and some can give quite a disappointing performance for a number of reasons. So what are the five most common causes of a poor shower experience and what can you do to avoid them? 1. Leaks One of the great things about a shower is that it is a simple, quick and easy process. There is no time delay in waiting for a bathtub to fill up and no need to clean up much afterwards. However, a leaking shower can undo all of these advantages in seconds. It could be the piping, feeding pressurised water to the head, the shower head itself or the enclosure/shower curtain that you use. If any of these parts leak you can find yourself with pools of water in the bathroom and a big clean up job to take care of. 2

5 Questions you should ask before buying a Shower Enclosure or Bathtub

Posted on: 2nd Apr 2014

Your choice of whether you install a shower enclosure or a bathtub will have an enormous effect on your mornings every day for years to come, so you need to decide very carefully exactly which is best for you. There are many factors to consider when deciding between the two, relating to the design and proportions of your bathroom, your personal needs, your family’s needs and your preferences. Here is a breakdown of the five key questions to ask yourself, to help you make this essential decision: 1. How much space do you have available? Some bathrooms simply won’t be able to accommodate a full-size bathtub and you need to look at the proportions of the bathtubs on the market and measure your space carefully to see if any can fit. If your bathroom is of a certain size, you may simply have to install a shower enclosure rather than a bathtub. 2. Do you even need to choose? If you have space available for a full-size bathtub and don’t want to limit yourself, a shower fixed above the bathtub, with an accompanying shower bath installed, may be the perfect compromise. 3. What are you realistically going to need? Some live fast-paced, busy lifestyles and simply don’t have the time to take a relaxing bath every morning. If you’re one of these racy individuals, you don’t want to cut yourself off from the time-efficiency of a shower enclosure

Choosing your Shower Enclosure

Stocking a fantastic range that covers everything from curved enclsoures, squared enclosures and rectangle shower enclosures, you’ll find the perfect option for your home right here with us.

Choosing a bathroom shower enclosure may be easier said than done. At Victoria Plumb, all of our shower cubicles are built from high grade materials so you have quality and affordability guaranteed regardless of whether you’re looking for a shower door, simple walk in shower or a full wet room set up. The exact style you choose will be determined by your bathroom style and shape, and here at Victoria Plumb we have an option for everyone.

Designer Walk in Showers

When choosing from a range of walk in shower cubicles to dedicated wet room screens, at Victoria Plumb you’ll find walk in shower enclosures perfect for any home. Whether you have plenty of room to play with or a small space, our fantastic range of glass panels, walk in enclosures and shower kits are sure to give your bathroom a practical solution which looks good and performs brilliantly.

Shaped Enclosures: Quadrant, D-shaped and Shower Cubicles

With spherical or rounded bases, these enclosures are the ideal option for those after a seamless style. Quadrants and shower cabins work best as corner shower enclosures, with double and single door varieties available, while a D-shaped shower enclosure is fitted to the central part of a wall to make it a real style feature.

Choosing the right shower tray when installing any of our enclosures means choosing between slimline and elevated designs. The first is ideal for bathrooms with concealed, underfloor plumbing as it creates a smooth design whilst elevated shower trays help to hide pipes from view in bathrooms without this feature.

Pivot, Sliding and Bi-fold Shower Enclosures

Squarer in shape, with cleaner lines, these are ideal for those with limited space in their bathroom. Frameless options are ideal for modern bathrooms with a futuristic look, whilst those opting for something more traditional can take advantage of our vast selection of framed walk in showers.

A sliding door shower enclosure or sliding glass shower doors doesn’t require additional space for the door to open, providing an innovative solution for those designing compact bathrooms. Similarly, bi-fold shower doors fold in upon themselves for easy access while those with a little more room to play with can opt for shower suites with a pivot shower enclosure or pivot shower doors that swing outwards for clean and easy entry to the shower.

For those without the space for a dedicated shower unit consider using a bath shower mixer or fit a shower rail kit over the bath, finishing the style with one of our fantastic bath screens and rails.
