    Slimline Shower Tray 1000 x 760

    A Perfect Fit.

I bought this Shower Tray to replace a horrible plastic 750mm x 750mm shower tray which was installed by the house builders. This shower tray fits perfectly in the gap left by the old tray, it is a lot sturdier and gives me the room I need. Victoria Plumb were great for price and the product was delivered when promised. I would definitely use Victoria Plumb again and would recommend them to anyone.

5 most Common Causes of a poor Shower Experience

Posted on: 12th Apr 2014

Everyone likes the idea of having a shower installed in their bathroom. Whether it is a top of the range 'wet room' style experience or the simple addition of a rail-based system that utilises the bathtub or shower enclosure, the ease of use and time saving aspects of taking a shower are an important lifestyle choice. However, not all showers are equal and some can give quite a disappointing performance for a number of reasons. So what are the five most common causes of a poor shower experience and what can you do to avoid them? 1. Leaks One of the great things about a shower is that it is a simple, quick and easy process. There is no time delay in waiting for a bathtub to fill up and no need to clean up much afterwards. However, a leaking shower can undo all of these advantages in seconds. It could be the piping, feeding pressurised water to the head, the shower head itself or the enclosure/shower curtain that you use. If any of these parts leak you can find yourself with pools of water in the bathroom and a big clean up job to take care of. 2

5 Questions you should ask before buying a Shower Enclosure or Bathtub

Posted on: 2nd Apr 2014

Your choice of whether you install a shower enclosure or a bathtub will have an enormous effect on your mornings every day for years to come, so you need to decide very carefully exactly which is best for you. There are many factors to consider when deciding between the two, relating to the design and proportions of your bathroom, your personal needs, your family’s needs and your preferences. Here is a breakdown of the five key questions to ask yourself, to help you make this essential decision: 1. How much space do you have available? Some bathrooms simply won’t be able to accommodate a full-size bathtub and you need to look at the proportions of the bathtubs on the market and measure your space carefully to see if any can fit. If your bathroom is of a certain size, you may simply have to install a shower enclosure rather than a bathtub. 2. Do you even need to choose? If you have space available for a full-size bathtub and don’t want to limit yourself, a shower fixed above the bathtub, with an accompanying shower bath installed, may be the perfect compromise. 3. What are you realistically going to need? Some live fast-paced, busy lifestyles and simply don’t have the time to take a relaxing bath every morning. If you’re one of these racy individuals, you don’t want to cut yourself off from the time-efficiency of a shower enclosure

Winter Warmer: How to make the most of your Shower during the Winter

Posted on: 4th Dec 2013

The recent drop in temperature has signalled the real start to the nation’s winter. With a record breaking summer behind us, long range weather forecasters are predicting the worst winter since the infamous 1947 blizzards. One of the main burdens of the cold weather can be the disruption to the daily hygiene routine. As the mercury begins to fall, having to shower can really interfere with your normally straightforward morning routine. With this in mind, below are some winter warmer tips that will help you combat the freezing temperatures while still being able to enjoy using the shower. Drop the Shower Temperature This first tip may prove to be unpopular. However, by lowering the temperature of water in the shower your body will begin to adapt and handle the cooler water. Once the winter has begun to take full effect a slight increase in temperature can be felt a lot more. This will reap many benefits; a colder shower has proven to improve many aspects of life. This includes; the immune system, skin, breathing and energy levels

Posted on: 11th Sep 2013

The introduction of a power shower into the home may seem like a small step but it is part of a process which will transform your home – the modernisation of the bathroom. The bathroom is a room which can easily get left behind as the rest of the house finds its way into the 21st century. If you fall into the category of people who have yet to renovate their dated bathroom, there's nothing to fear. The modern bathroom is filled with simple luxuries, from the power shower to the walk in shower. Here, we take a look at the options open to you as you consider installing a power shower in your home. Walk In Showers With all that added water pressure, you wouldn't be blamed for looking for a little more space within your shower cubicle. For the ultimate showering experience, it's hard to opt for anything other than a walk in shower. A particularly great option for those with bigger bathrooms, the walk in shower removes any feelings of claustrophobia while in the shower. Shower trays from Victoria Plumb

A vital accessory that ensures your shower functions at its best, shower trays can often get overlooked when designing a bathroom. Here at Victoria Plumb, we pay attention to every last detail and that’s why we have a wide range of shower trays available for you to choose.

Why do I need a shower tray?

A shower tray is a crucial component for any freestanding shower enclosure, providing a base for the shower cubicle to stand. Whether sitting at floor level or at an elevated height, shower trays provide a handy basin to collect water and feed it to the drainage system when showering, protecting your floor from harm.

Match with one of our shower wastes to find everything you need in a shower. Our fantastic range of shower accessories will complement everything further with the addition of stylish handles and luxurious heated towel rails always a great idea.

Choosing your shower tray

When choosing shower trays there are plenty of considerations you’ll need to make. This will be connected with your choice of shower enclosure overall and you’ll need to find a shower tray which matches the shape of your shower.

For this reason we stock suitable shower trays for all our enclosures. This includes square and rectangular trays for corner cubicles as well as D-shaped, curved and quadrant shower trays for use with a d shaped shower enclosure or other curved design.

After choosing the shape you’ll then need to match the dimensions. When deciding which height to select you must first look at the type of plumbing you have. Those with underfloor plumbing or concealed pipes can use slimline trays which sit flat against the floor while those looking to hide pipes from view should select a raised option that has an elevated height to disguise your plumbing.

Choose Victoria Plumb for your shower trays

Whether you opt for our ultra environmentally friendly ECO shower trays or one of our other products, with Victoria Plumb you know you’re getting affordability and quality guaranteed. Choose a shower tray that matches the dimensions of your walk in shower enclosure and bring spa luxury into your home with a little help from us.
