I intend insalling a new WC into the corner of a very small bathroom. There will be minimal distace from the WC to the wall. Do I need to worry (or does the plumber) about which side the inlet pipe is? This might affect the choice of the toilet.

Hi
I have an existing 3 inch waste pipe which carries waste from my bath and basin only. I want to add a WC to my bathroom, and make the top part of the stack 4 inch and then reduce half way down onto the original 3 inch stack. Is this ok, or can I reduce from the pan into a the inch soil/stack?

Hi
Our existing toilet has a floor waste which is 8in away from the wall. Is there enough room to fit an elbow on the back waste without the need for boxing or spacers. We are lookin at the Arc or monaco toilets?

It is important that you seek tradesman advice when attempting any home improvements, as you do not want to cause even problems by not knowing the correct measures to carry out the job. We are nation that like to undertake DIY (do-it-yourself) but can end up cost your time but also in terms of money as you may have to call an expert in to rectify any problems. The best solution is to call in the professional who will be able to assess the job involve and give an appropriate cost for the work that is going to be undertaken.

Depending how much of a gap there is he could put spacers from the wall to the back of the toilet cistern or possible box it out. I would recommend seeking the advice of an expert.

The modern toilets do not have an external overflow they are built to go back into the pan if overflowing occurs.
