Can I use the hot and cold water source from a tub or bathroom sink plus the drain for installing a new kitchen sink (where one never was). The kitchen sink will be about 8 to 10' from the tub?
Thank you

Hi, I hope you can help. The smell of drains/gas comes out of my shower plug hole if I don't leave a plug in it. I assume there is no u-bend underneath. The whole shower is tiled in and would be difficult to access. What can I do? Is there some kind of plug valve I can install?

Thanks!

We are planning to re fit a bathroom. We live in a very old house which has an unsightly black plastic soil pipe down the front of the house. Are there any pipes available that would be more asthetically appealing and more in keeping with the age of the property?

Many thanks for your advice

it sounds like your hot water storage cylinder thermostat has failed and is returning heat to your storage tank. This is very dangerous and must be sorted immediately. Thermostats cost around £20 and can e fitter in minutes.

If there is water in the cistern yes, you will want to turn off your water and empty the cistern first.

Hi Lee,

If you can access the cistern from the top then you just need to turn the diaphragm a quarter and it will then pull out.
