Hot Tub Cleaning page 6
RATING: EASY
- Attach the garden hose to a water
supply, then to the hot tub vac. Clip
the hot tub vac onto the telepole. Always
be sure your collection bag is securely
tied to the hot tub vac itself. I can't
tell you how frustrating it is to have
the bag come loose as you lift the hot
tub vac from the hot tub, spilling the
debris back into the area you just cleaned.
- Insert the hot tub vac into the hot
tub. Turn on the water supply and vacuum.
As with vacuuming to the filter, hot
tub vacuuming is just a matter of covering
the hot tub floor and walls. Be careful
not to move the hot tub vac so fast
that you stir up the debris ahead. If
your garden hose is not the floating
variety, work in a pattern that keeps
the hose behind your work, so you will
not stir up debris before you can vacuum
it.
- When finished, remove the hot tub
vac by turning slightly to one side
and slowly lifting it through the water
to the surface. If you pull it straight
up, debris will be forced out of the
bag and back into the hot tub. Never
turn off the water supply before removing
the hot tub vac from the hot tub for
the same reason. The loss of vacuum
action will "dump" the collected
debris right back into the hot tub.
When the hot tub vac is on the deck,
shut of the water supply and clean out
the collection bag.
