Victoria Plumb supporting Marie Curie Cancer Care in 2010
19th of December 2009Victoria Plumb has announced Marie Curie Cancer Care as its charity of the year for 2010.
The partnership will be officially launched on 1 January, and will run initially until the end of the year. To kick start proceedings, the company has pledged a £5000 donation to the charity, and this will be followed by a number of another initiatives throughout the year from the company and it’s employees.
As well as promoting the charity to their customers, the company will be featuring the partnership in various media and PR campaigns, and will be actively supporting the renovation of some of the Marie Curie hospices by providing bathroom equipment. Employees will be organising and taking part in various fundraising events throughout the year in order to not only raise awareness of the charity but of course to raise much needed money.
Commercial Director Ged Lees said: “We are all looking forward to working with Marie Curie Cancer Care and to specifically supporting the provision of more nursing hours across the UK. We hope to raise as much money as possible during 2010, in order to support the invaluable work undertaken by the Marie Curie Cancer Care Team.”
