A member of the Victoria Plumb team has taken on the challenge of the Big Zip which was held at the KC Stadium in Hull on the 20th June 2010.

The exhilarating event which flew you 150 metres across the pitch from a staggering 26 metres high at the KC Stadium was attended by 95 people and has hoped to have risen in the region of £15,000.

The Victoria Plumb Marketing Team has this weekend completed the Jane Tomlinson 10k Run for All through the streets of Hull city centre.
5,000 people took to the streets of Hull on Sunday 23rd May to take part in the Jane Tomlinson 10k Run for All to raise money for many different charities with the Victoria Plumb team running for their charity of the year Marie Curie.

Losing one team member due to injury before the race was a massive blow to the Victoria Plumb team, but the two remaining members carried on in temperatures reaching 25°C finishing 698th and 2617th.

Final preparations are being made by the Victoria Plumb Marketing Team as they are about to undertake the challenge of the Hull 10K Run this weekend.
Hoping to raise enough money to pay for 50 hours of specialised nursing care for Marie Curie patients, the three members of the team are gearing up for the task ahead. The Victoria Plumb team are excited to be a part of the ‘Jane Tomlinson 10K Run for All’ which takes place in Hull city centre, “We are all really looking forward to the whole event. Last Sunday Victoria Plumb were the proud sponsors of the Richard Horne testimonial game between Hull FC and local rivals Hull KR.
The match was a great event with over 16,000 supporters turned out at the KC Stadium, on a bitterly cold, but clear, January afternoon, to show their gratitude for the ten years of service Richard Horne has given to Hull since his debut in 1999 against Leeds Rhinos.
Horne was given a standing ovation by both sets of fans as he addressed them on the pitch ahead of kick-off and the home team ran out victorious with a 28 – 16 win over their east Hull rivals.

Victoria Plumb has announced Marie Curie Cancer Care as its charity of the year for 2010.
The partnership will be officially launched on 1 January, and will run initially until the end of the year. To kick start proceedings, the company has pledged a £5000 donation to the charity, and this will be followed by a number of another initiatives throughout the year from the company and it’s employees.
As well as promoting the charity to their customers, the company will be featuring the partnership in various media and PR campaigns, and will be actively supporting the renovation of some of the Marie Curie hospices by providing bathroom equipment.
