The Victoria Plumb Marketing Team has this weekend completed the Jane Tomlinson 10k Run for All through the streets of Hull city centre.
5,000 people took to the streets of Hull on Sunday 23rd May to take part in the Jane Tomlinson 10k Run for All to raise money for many different charities with the Victoria Plumb team running for their charity of the year Marie Curie.

Losing one team member due to injury before the race was a massive blow to the Victoria Plumb team, but the two remaining members carried on in temperatures reaching 25°C finishing 698th and 2617th.

The Victoria Plumb marketing department are all geared up to take part in the “Hull 10k Jane Tomlinson Run for All” on May 23rd 2010 in support of Marie Curie Cancer Care; their chosen charity for 2010.

Inspired by the amazing work Marie Curie nurses carry out on a day to day basis, and with less than seven weeks until the race, the members of the Victoria Plumb marketing department are preparing themselves for the task ahead and are looking for your support……….

Each member of the Victoria Plumb Call Centre has recently been awarded a City & Guilds Award for Customer Service. The qualification is a Level 2 NVQ in Customer Service and has been completed under the governments workplace NVQ assessment program.

The training program was developed in line with existing customer service guidelines and policies already in place at Victoria Plumb. To complete the award each member of the Call Centre Team was required to complete a series of individual units as well as undergoing continual assessment during the training period. The course covered all aspects of customer service including: Impression and image, delivery, handling problems, development and improvement as well as giving the candidates an opportunity to suggest ways to ………
